Fiddlers Retreat is located in the village of Loughmore. 1 k.m. off of the main road between the towns of Thurles and Templemore in Co. Tipperary.

Dublin-Portlaoise-Roscrea-Temlemore-Thurles ( Loughmore is clearly sign-posted 3 k.m. from Templemore on the Thurles road).

Cork-Cashel-Horse and Jockey-Thurles-Templemore ( Loughmore is clearly sign-posted 6 k.m. from Thurles on the Templemore road).

Galway-Limerick-Dublin Road to Nenagh-Thurles road to Borrisoleigh- Templemore-Thurles. (Loughmore is clearly sign-posted 3 k.m. from Templemore on the Thurles road).

Fiddlers Retreat is based in Theresa’s family home in the heart of Loughmore Village, Templemore, Co. Tipperary. Her family have lived in the village for generations and she is delighted to be able welcome guests into her home, in a farming community that is steeped in history and noted as a parish of great sports people and talented musicians.

The village itself is particularly picturesque. The ancient ruins of Loughmore Castle and The old stone mill sit on the banks of the River Suir which rises a few miles away on the Devil’s Bit mountain.

The Loughmore Abbey and graveyard with its beautiful gravestone crosses are nestled in the centre of the village which also has the original water pump house that the villagers would have congregated in bygone times.

The village primary school is buzzing with the sound of children, the parish hall and local pub are a hive of activity every evenings.

Loughmore is now home to new and old families, a more beautiful and tranquil country setting is hard to find. 

Mealtimes are a very special part of the week, sitting around the family table, sharing conversations, laughter and experiences.

Theresa’s second love is cooking, , a healthy and hearty cullinary feast is in store as the home cooked food is prepared using the finest seasonal ingredients available. Meat, seafood and vegetables are mainly sourced from local farmers, producers and suppliers. A combination of traditional and contemporary dishes are created for you to savour.

Vegetarian, allergic and special dietary requirements are catered for to the best of our ability.

Guests on the 6 night packages arrive on Sunday evening and depart the
following Saturday afternoon.

Guests on the 3 night package arrive on Monday evening and depart Thursday morning or arrive Thursday evening and depart Sunday morning.
The courses are organised to ensure players are of a similar standard to each other.

Early booking is advised due to the limited number of places available on this course.
